I applied to Pratt early action to the school of architecture. I was deferred to the regular decision pool. So, I have a few questions:
- Why do they defer applicants?
- What is the chance I will get in the second time around?
- The deadline is Jan 1st, mid year transcripts go out in early Feb, would it make sense to sign up for a SAT on Jan 23? Scores won't be released until Feb 11, is it to late?
- How can I show that Pratt is my number one school and I really want to attend?
Info: International Bacclureate Candidate (GPA 3.81 W). I will most likely have a ~4.1 by next semester or higher. I’m ranked 37/306. ACT/SAT scores are pretty low however I scored a lot higher on my SAT Math test. I have a sound list of extracurricular actives and I have attended three architecture summer programs and am enrolled in a local art school outside of my high school. My portfolio was decent 7/10 but that’s solely from my opinion. I have a good amount of awesome pieces and some “mediocre” pieces I put in there to meet the required amount.
This is my dream school!
