@mom2collegekids My daughter is considering med school, but is also interested in to taking advantage of the 5th year of tuition granted to NMFs. If she wants to get a master’s degree first (either in her major field or through the STEM path to MBA program), what would be the schedule regarding MCATs, applying to med school, etc.?
She can take the MCAT anytime after she completes the prereqs. Since an MCAT score is only good for 3 years (and some schools prefer 2 years), if she’s going to do the fifth year, then take the MCAT during the 3rd or 4th year of college.
That said, does your student WANT to do the 5th year? Or might she want to use a semester of tuition for a summer abroad?
