How are the science classes at Bing? (Easy, Hard? How much effort did anyone put in?) Also, how helpful is the staff at Binghamton?

The science classes are most definitely not easy. The biology and chemistry classes are usually very big but that’s the case at any university you attend. The TA’s I’ve encountered were very helpful and you can always go to the professor’s office hours. In general there’s a lot of help including free tutoring, you just need to seek it because there’s not going to be anyone spoon feeding especially when it comes to the sciences. You must work hard if you want to do well even in the intro courses but it’s definitely doable. Good luck!

I can’t speak on behalf of the science classes as I have never been in one but I do know that the faculty and the Teaching Assistants are very helpful and make themselves available. There is always someone who can help you. We also have a tutoring center on campus where you can receive free tutoring in these classes.

Some of my favorite professors so far have been from the science classes that I worked the hardest in. There are definitely really helpful TAs (and not so helpful ones from time to time of course), and I have found that most professors are more than willing to help you out, even if you can’t make their office hours, they’re usually pretty approachable about finding a time to sit down with them!
