Pre-med/Pre-health requirements?

I know Pre-med, which I believe Michigan calls Pre-health, is not a major. However, there are classes/activities in the program recommended in order to strengthen med school applications and help prepare for the MCAT exam. What are these classes? Do I need to declare Pre-health during my freshman year or can I wait until my sophomore year? Thanks in advance.

Here’s a link explaining the classes: [Required Courses](http://www.lsa.umich.edu/advising/academicplanning/prehealth/requiredcourses)

There’s no declaring for pre-health. You just take the pre-med classes and decide on a major (which can be science or non-science) usually by the end of sophomore year. As for medical activities there’s Pre-Med Club, UROP, MRC and many others which you can look through in Maizepages’s medical section([Maize Pages | Student Orgs at UM](http://studentorgs.umich.edu/maize/tag/Medical/)).
