Does anyone know about any summer programs or internships that are specifically for pre health or pre nursing college students? I currently live in California and I’m interested in applying to some internships or programs that are offered to students to gain more insight/experience.
If you want to volunteer in a hospital, apply early. Some hospitals have limited spots, and they fill up early.
And some hospitals save those spots for the children of donors or other “important” people.
Cast your net wide … consider nursing homes, rehab centers, etc. My daughter has received much more interaction with residents there than she would have at the hospital in town. Others have volunteered on EMS squads, etc. If it’s healthcare, it’s worth asking if you can work with them.
