I am going to be a sophomore this year, but I did already take the SAT once. I got 700 M 670 CR 600 W. I was fairly happy with this score because I only studied for the math section. I will take it again junior year, and I will study for all sections. What do you guys think I can score by the time I am a junior?

I would say somewhere around 1970 - or higher depending on how hard you study.

1970 is what he got now haha.

I think you could get around 2150 if you tried hard. By junior year you’ll definitely get the writing up and possibly the reading up some too. Math does not really improve that much since algebra isn’t taught to the upper level kids in HS, it’s all from middle school.

But it’s all up to you. You might not improve at all if you don’t put in the effort.

Depends on how much you study and how you study. From experience, I know it’s possible to improve over 200 points, and getting in the high 1900s as sophomore is a good sign. I disagree with the math- ALL of it can improve if you know how to approach the questions. Though for writing, really pay attention to grammar. If you do enough of those improving/identifying error questions they become really easy. And good grammar compensates for an average essay.

Yes, teenbodybuilder. I’m pretty sure that’s what made Lehigh’s post a joke.

^I see now. Lol I just saw 1970 and didn’t give the rest of her post much thought.

I would say since you’re only a sophomore you can improve it a lot if you study. My score went up a total of 280 points with a little more studying each time (I didn’t study at all for the first one though). I think you can definitely at least get it to the 2100s if you really study. Good luck!
