I know 2300 is a huge psychological barrier for you, but the difference between a 2290 and 2300 will be negligible in admissions.

Trufflie, what were your means and methods for studying?

@PioneerJones
It’s not that. It’s just mainly the Math part. I had -2, as you know, but they were extremely careless. I had 5 minutes at the end of each Math section and I could have checked them and avoided doing so. But no. I didn’t. If I just checked, I would have both an 800 Math and ensured 2300+ score. I’m a sophomore btw…but yeah, I am trying to get the SAT over with this year so I guess the psychological pressures would be similar to that of the typical HS senior.

I didn’t know you were only a Sophomore. You’re putting far too much pressure onto yourself. You will have plenty of chances to raise your score if you so choose; it would be irrational for you to worry so much about your first SAT.

So I’m confused. How could 8 miss in CR, 1 miss in math, and 2 miss with 9 essay be 2300+??

^I don’t know who told you that, but they are certainly wrong.

Ugh I’m going to be harsh with myself
710 CR
740 W
F***ING 650 Math…I honestly don’t remember what I put for half those answers so I’m just going to assume there’s a harsh curve and I got a bunch wrong
o well :-/ 2100 isn’t bad

O wait sorry completely posted on the wrong thread…awkward…
