whats a good ACT score, compared to the SAT?
cuz everybody at my school gets 33s and so that seems mediocre at my schoool
idk

same here. only a handful take the act at my school and most of them got 34s or 35s

QUESION: i took the sept. exam with writing. so when can i expect the results?

Multiple choice comes out at 6:00 am on September 25, at the earliest! Otherwise, they put new scores on their website every half week. But if your score happens to be released with the first wave, then it'll be out by the 25th. Writing scores come out at least two weeks after MC.

September 25th? Where'd you get that date? Their website says October 2nd-5th??

I think you might have to pay an extra $8 to view your scores on September 25 or any time before .. October 2nd. If you look way back to the threads for the June ACT, people were posting scores beginning 10 days after they took the test, which is apparently when you can start viewing scores online, for a price.

Its October 2nd- 5th to get your scores back early.

when are the results mailed to colleges if you took the act wihtout writing?

uhm
english 30-32
Math-34-36
Reading-31-33
Science-30-32
Writing 11
Composite 31-33.

PLEASE GIVE ME A 33!!!

Hmmm... i'd guess composite 33-36 (i already got a 33), but science will be lower than math/english/reading.

How badly do you have to do to get a 20 on the Science section?

Not Very .

Actually, I think the curve fits so that it's extremely easy to get under a 33 but as you approach the 20's it becomes more lenient.

Like if you get 75% of the questions right, that's only a 25. :( I think the Science will screw my score over. I don't even know what I finished from what I didn't. :(

The science section is the devil's test.

I had a 28 because of my bump score of 23 in science last Februiary... :(

Ugh. That blows. :( I hate this. I thought I was going to get a 33+ on this test. Thanks for deceiving me, McGrawHill! :(

a few questions. does the essay score factor into the english or reading grades? how is composite score derived? i have a feeling that it's the average of all the scores (science, math, reading, english). is that right?

The essay doesn't affect your composite score. It's just a separate score altogether. Your composite score is just the average of the four - E, M, R, S.
