Does anyone know if Lafayette College has majors/programs that would be good for premed students? Is Lafayette a good premed school?

bump…

Can’t see any reason to thing they don;t – pretty much any of the Top 500 schools in the country will have a good enough program to get you into Med School if you do your part.

A Top 40 LAC like Lafayette will have no problem getting you ready if you do your job.

Pretty much any general education (non vocational) major can be fine as long as you get your Pre-reqs, do you classwork properly, and prepare for your MCATs rigorously if your goal is to get into Medical School and not your goal is get into HYPS Med School or into a research/tech heavy PhD/MD type program (and even then it;s possible if you do your part).

The choice of College and Major will eventually become a minimal part of the whole process of getting into a good Professional School. The sticky threads at the top of the PreMed section has a large amount of information discussing these points.

We just did a tour of Lafayette and were very impressed with the med school support network and placement of students into every major med school in the country. Their placement is likely due in part to the low professor/student ratio and the personal attention from professors.
