Chem 215-breezed through it. Got an A. Covered your typical Chem AP stuff: thermochem, acid-base equilibria, Lewis dot structures, etc etc. etc.

Chem 216-struggled as much in this class as I have in any class at Cornell. It is drastically different from Chem 215 (diff professor, diff textbook, etc.). It covers a little p-chem, a little of the stereochem you'll encounter in orgo, transition-metal complexes, symmetry elements, valence bond theory, molecular orbital theory, calculus to derive and normalize wave functions. None of this is Chem AP stuff and none of it is found on the MCAT. I, being the arrogant freshman, decided not to get help and that I would "eventually get it." Didn't happen. Ended up with a B. Also, got my lowest prelim score in that class (51).
