Premed Society

Should one join a premed society in college?

I would join a theater group, debate club, intramural sports team, newspaper staff, etc., etc., etc. before a premed society.

you should join whatever interests you...not whats looked on as a "should"...and if you dont have any interests....join random stuff and find an interest =)

that being said...i wonder if i'll actually take my own advice

@ doctor sedrish: why so?

Because from the med schools' point of view, they want to select a class with broad interests and some real people skills. From your own perspectives, you will have enough of the "pre-med types" all day long; doing anything that involves a more friendly, less pressured peer group will allow you to really relax and enjoy your limited non-study time.
