Hello.
I am an international student currently living in Prague, Czech Republic. I am in grade 9, and looking to apply for 10th grade next year in a prep school. I just recieved my SSAT scores and I am very unhappy. I received 73 percentile but was hoping for 85+. Here is some other information about me
Very strong Hockey player, Reserve on the Czech national team
playing on the best team in the Czech republic, One of top scorers.
I have some A+, some A, and Some B grades.
Speak 4 different Languages, Czech, Russian, English, French
Strongest subject is math, Higher level class in math
Self taught guitar and Piano
Played Trumpet in band for 4 years
Decent at soccer and basketball.
I’m looking at schools such as Lawrence academy, Kent school, And tabor academy.
Another question I have is now to schools treat late SSAT submissions?
Your application needs to be complete by the due date which is typically 15 January, 2017, for almost all schools. However, if you take the January test and improve, you can certainly submit those additional scores later. (I am even aware of AOs of a few selective schools who asked for late additional testing of students for whom they wanted to advocate in admissions.). I’m assuming you already know the schools you will apply to, have completed (or scheduled) your interviews, and have reached out to the hockey coaches. Good luck!
The low SSAT scores are no problem if you’re really good at hockey. Those three schools have notably strong hockey programs, which means they will overlook SSATs (unless they are REALLY low)
