Prep School Matriculation

I was curious to see how well boarding schools actually did when it went to college matriculation. I went to a lot of schools' sites and found that a lot posted their college matriculation stats of the past five years or the past year. I realize that a lot of the stats are padded because of recruited athletes, legacies, and self selection... But the percentages I found that were accepted to top colleges by these schools was still pretty astounding. I took the meaning of 'top colleges' by the rankings of US News's top 25 National Universities or in the top 20 liberal arts colleges.

*School only listed colleges which accepted 10 or more students in the past five years, so only 704 of 800 students are actually listed

I got to a private school myself in Pennsylvania, and I'm a firm believer that high school is what you make of it. But these college statistics are pretty impressive. Makes me wonder how they do it.

Notice that 4 out of those 5 are in Massachusetts, interesting.

you should compare those to NYC private school matricutlation rates. Most of the NYC schools have higher rates than that. I didnt really look through all the stats, but like my school, I could def say that like at least 90% of the class ends up in schools in the top 25 and 20.
