Hi everyone

I am from Peru and this year, I was accepted to Deerfield, Kent and Tabor but denied financial support. The point is that I want to re apply next year but I would love to be able to go to some school in California because my sister goes to Stanford and I would like to have her as close as possible. Please help me with some boarding schools in California, please specify the city. Closer to Palo Alto the better, and please also specify its acceptance rate, sports FINANCIAL AID TO INTERNATIONALS and all the details you can. Once again THAANK YOU ALL! CC HELPED ME SO MUCH IN MY APPLICATIONS!

[Private Schools and Boarding Schools Search – Find Private Schools with Peterson’s](<a href=“Private Colleges and Universities: The Basics - Peterson's”>ASVAB Practice Tests | AFCT Practice Tests)

Everything you need is there, and you can search by state, zip code and types of school. Hope this helps.

I’m curious to know why you think the financial support would be different the second time around.

Try Thatcher and Cate. Cate is 322 Miles from Stanfrod, Thatcher is 367 Miles away. A bit of a drive, but definitely doable.

Well, I can’t assure that financial aid will be different next year but I will try to get it anyway because going to a BS is the thing I want the most. Maybe I can improve my low points and perfect my high points during this year to recieve more support.

Thank you, I will investigate more deeply in both.

it’s actually Thacher, not ThaTcher, I messed up on that.

grr i wrote such a long post XD to make it short…

There are two well known schools in Northern California, which I’m assuming is where you want to go in preference to southern california.

Stevenson School is the better known one, it’s a lesser known version of Cate in my opinion, located in Pebble Beach and very relaxed I’ve heard. I’ve heard academics are good, etc etc and I know a somewhat-famous person there, who I think could have chosen between schools in california but chose to go there so I think that’s a good sign? haha

the lesser known school ist he athenian school. It’s 30% boarding though, and i don’ tknow much about this place. it’s in san jose, though. (:

Athenian School is in Danville, about an hour’s drive from Stanford, depending on traffic.
Stevenson School is in Pebble Beach, about an hour and a half drive from Stanford.

Deerfield: 35-40% of students get financial aid.
Thacher: 30-35%
Athenian: 20-30%
Cate: 20-30%
Stevenson: less than 20%

i have no idead what it is now, but at one point both exeter and andover gave ~50% fa, though that may well be different given the current economic situation.

both northeast though, so it doesn’t matter if you’re dead-set on California.

Woodside Priory School is located only 10 minutes from Stanford. [Woodside Priory School Boarding](<a href=“San Diego Web Development and Design | San Diego Digital Agency | PINT”>http://www.woodsidepriory.com/) I know very little about the school other than it’s Benedictine / Catholic and has a small boarding population. Also, The Priory has a reasonable endowment and might be able to accommodate your FA requirement.
