prepairing for med school

I am an international student, from India, at DePauw University as a sophomore. I am a biology major. I am interested in med school. My current cum GPA is 3.65 and my science gpa is 3.7. I transfered to DePauw this semester. Earlier I was in University of Evansville. What should I do in order to prepare myself for a good med school. When is the best time for me to give MCAT. And do I still need to further improve my grades?

Take a look at the Pre-Med section of this website; there's lots of great advice there.

Also, bear in mind that as an international, it is more difficult to be admitted into US med schools. Many will not even accept international applications, and funding may be an issue as well.

but he is at at an American university

I believe he is still considered an international though

Unless he's able to get PR status by the time he finishes undergrad and applies for med school, he will be considered an international.

nishantini: Surely your own college has fuller and more readily accessible medical school advising staff. I'm sure each year your college has a bloc of people readying themselves for medical school application process. They're best prepared to assist you, not CC.
