I think there’s a good chance I’ll be called for an interview, and would like to start preparing if that’s possible…
I’ll be applying for History. If anyone’s had an interview before, how was it? and can you really prepare for it?

Look over the essay you submitted with your application - they’ll probably ask some questions about that.
Otherwise, just do some general history reading. Most of it will be less about what you know and more about how you think.
It can be
You can’t really prepare. There are videos on YouTube of example interviews to reassure yourself, and as @Conformist1688 said, review your PS before hand- and if you referenced any books/articles review them as well- they are often used as an icebreaker for the interview.
You are likely to get an unseen reading- you get 20 minutes to read it and then there is a discussion about it. Biggest tip (even though it’s obvious): don’t panic. Don’t rush your answers. The tutors are perfectly ok with your taking a minute or two to think the question through. Thinking out loud is also ok- it’s not like in school where they ask a question and want to see if you know the one ‘right’ answer: they are looking to see how you think, how you handle new material, and how you handle the back and forth (which is a lot like a tutorial).
Good luck
There are tons of information out there if you google it. Including this site http://oxbridge-admissions.info/profiles-list.php?w=course
Keep in mind they are looking to find more out about the way you think than what you know - you need to be able to think on your feet, to offer original interpretations, and make new connections right on the spot. They want to find out if you’re someone they’d want to teach. You can’t cram for that, but you can do exercises. Good luck.
