so i registered for the french subject test a few months ago thinking i'd have more time to prepare, but i just never got around to it, and the grammar sections are weirder than i'm used to so i'm guessing right now that i'd score in the 500's :( luckily, i've got two 800's on math 1 and history, so i technically don't need a 3rd subject test, but now i'm wondering what to do, so i have a few questions:

does anyone have any tips for how to cram all my studying into the next week and actually have it make a difference? i remember reading that at a lot of schools a score of 600 or higher gets you higher placement in classes, so i think i'd just shoot for that- do you think a 600 would be possible in a week?

is what i read correct, that a score of 600 helps you in college, even if it doesn't help you in admissions? i wouldn't send this score to schools i'm applying to, but i'm hoping that a 600 would help me once i'm in college.

i'm basically done with the testing i need to do, so should i just deal with the fee and move my test to october (is that the earliest?) so that i'd have more time to prepare? or should i take the test this saturday as a diagnostic tool and use that to study for retaking the test over the summer?

thanks for your advice! :)
