Prepharm and Predental acceptance rates

Hi there
I just wanted to provide info on the admitted profile of the accelerated prepharmacy and predental advantage programs. Both programs are extremely competitive. Approximately 10% of applicants are accepted to either program. Pre dentistry is the most competitive. For the fall of 2016, 2000 applicants applied to predentistry–only 200 got in. Prepharmacy has a bit higher acceptance rate, but is the second most competitive major to get into at UOP. TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR ACCEPTANCES! Not everyone has this chance! I surmise they admit so few applicants in order to maintain the “near-guarantee” acceptance into their grad schools(Thomas J Long School of Pharmacy and Arthur A Dugoni School of Dentistry). They only reserve a certain number of seats for their UOP undergrads.
Just wanted to put a bit of info out there

I agree. The UOP Dental School is a very clinical, good supportive school . I do not know about the acceptance rate, but I think that they are competitive to get into. My son is trying out for the UOP 2+3 program, and it is hard.
