Pres. Shapiro Pens Study on the Value of Adjuncts

<p>In what some consider a self-serving study, Mort Shapiro has co-authored a report according to which on a couple of teaching metrics (inspiration to continue in the field, and grades in subsequent courses) adjuncts slightly outperform tenure track and tenured faculty in instructing freshmen. Unsurprisingly, the internet is now echoing with the (often whiny) responses of tenured and wannabe tenured faculty.</p>

<p>Fun stuff. My own sense is that both houses deserve a bit of pox.</p>
