I’m an OOS applicant from NC, with a 36 ACT and a 4.0 GPA. Does this mean I automatically receive the Presidential Elite Scholarship, or does this just qualify me to receive it?

You are who they seek. It is a great deal. You could pay $300,000 for Duke, or have Alabama pay you. Financially, it is an easy choice, however completely different environments. We visited both campuses. Duke is fabulous but I was impressed with Alabama as well and would have been happy for my daughter to go there.
Yes, it is automatic! My son has the NMF scholarship combined with the engineering scholarship. He gets a refund every semester! He loves UA (we are from the North) and will have zero debt upon graduation. Such a great opportunity!!
