Presidential/Trustee Recipients outside LA?

I dont know how reliable this is but I called USC at around 2pm Pacific time and the admissions officer said that scholarship decisions had not even been mailed out yet. I am not sure if this was just said to appease me or if they legitimately have not mailed out the notifications…

I know my source said they were trying to get them out yesterday, but his comment did leave room to indicate they might not have had time. They sure have a lot going on right now for sure.

We’ll see as mail hasn’t arrived in LA yet.

Nada in my mail (i’m South East). I did get my Chapman acceptance… lol

South East LA?

nah, South East USA

Oh haha (: lol

i got my mail today and nothing from usc… i live in socal. i guess well be waiting till monday…

Hmm, nothing in the mail today in the Bay Area!

I’m beginning to wonder if the adcoms are directed not to answer questions about when stuff will be mailed, or what have you, and so they all give these somewhat generic answers. “They were mailed earlier this week.” “We’re trying to get them in the mail today.” “They haven’t been mailed out yet.” Maybe they’re just saying whatever they need to say to avoid the question?

Nothing here in Washington. I remember at Explore they said we would get our scholarship notification and fin aid package stuff at the same time, which would be around April 1st.

SimpleLife - I never directly asked, it was a piece of info offered. I think we need to remember how freaking busy these people are. THey have a lot on their plate. As long as we get it next week, i’ll be happy! Anything to help the sting of not getting into ivies is welcomed :p

^Yeah, as I said in post #16, my son never asked either. The information was just volunteered. Which is why I said maybe the adcoms just throw out these generic statements to avoid the question that they’re not allowed to answer…

The decisions will come when they come. We’re not bothered by any of it. Just thinking about the mystery of it all.

As a parent, I think USC makes a mistake not getting the scholarship results out quicker. My D came home from the trustee interview weekend so hot on USC. She had applied there without ever visiting it and just fell in love with the school. We were like 99% sure she would go there. Since then, she’s had great success in other admissions and scholarship results. I just feel that if they had let applicants know their results sooner, it would benefit the school’s matriculation rate. This doesn’t in any way imply that we aren’t grateful and appreciative of what she will eventually get. I just feel if she had found out sooner, it might have been a done deal.
