Has anyone received notification that they received your recommendations and transcript for semifinalists? I'm assuming they won't show up with the regular application materials under Additional Info received http://www.apply.gatech.edu/checkapp/

I guess not. I haven't heard from them yet after my interview.

has anybody heard anything yet?

I have not...I suppose we have to wait until they make their decisions...wasn't the date like Feb. 9th or something?

really? That's this week! ARe they emailing us or something?

Gosh, the wait is so nervewracking. I've even gone into superanalytical mode-- if they CALL, I've definitely got it, if they EMAIL, I might or might not...ad infinitum. The waiting is rough.

Anyone heard anything?
Will they SEND letters (snail mail) tomorrow - meaning we'd get them on Friday/Saturday - or email or call? Any ideas?

I take it back --
"Update: Letters about semifinalist's status in the President's Scholarship Competition will be mailed out on Wednesday, February 9."

-From PSP site (psp.gatech.edu)

so next week sometime? gah.

Yeah. I'd really like to know tomorrow. Maybe they'll send an email as well (or call.) Fingers crossed

Meh. I just got a letter from Ga. Tech...didn't get Finalist. Oh, well.

same here. y2kwizard, what were your stats?

~4.4 weighted GPA, 33 ACT (35 M), 1530 SAT (780M 750V), so-so essays, yearbook, video editing, church stuff.

I'm not a finalist either. This probably means I won't be going to Tech since it wouldn't be worth it to pay out-of-state tuition to do chemistry (if I was doing more engineering, yeah...it might be). I'll probably still wait for my financial aid package before I make a definite decision though.

Darn, I didn't get the Finalist either! It seems like we're all very talented and qualified...but...oh well. I really wanted to be part of it though, but now I don't think I can afford the Georgia Tech tuition (for out-of-state). I can't believe that so many of us CCers didn't get in. It's a shame...

Does anyone know how many semifinalists there were and how many finalists were picked?

semifinalist was like 440 and finalists was 110. about.

I'm finalist and have any of the other finalists gotten mail about the finalist weekend?

congratulations! nice to see a ccer get in. what were your stats? What are you majoring?

Thanks! 5/300, 5.000wgpa, 1410 sat, 30 act, 780 sat ii writing, 720 sat ii math 1, plenty of leadership and ecs
