Prestige vs. Money?

I am bringing up the classic debate of going to a tippy top prestigious school vs. going to an average ranked school. In my case, I love everything about Drexel- the co-op, the variety of minors, the location, the honors college, I could go on and on. Yet, I feel my peers and teachers would be, dare I say, disappointed if I chose Drexel over other schools I'm planning on applying to like Tufts and UVA. I wanted your opinion. I think I would be equally happy at any of my reaches or my safeties, and should the prospect of money at a school like Drexel override the prestige factor and opinions of others? Also, Drexel is still prestigious enough to get me into graduate programs, right? Thank you!

Go with what makes YOU happy, not what others think is best. Also, wait until you have actually applied and been accepted/rejected to decide which school you’d attend. Right now, you don’t know how much money you’d get at Drexel or even if you’d get into your reaches. Sit back and take a breath! Focus on other things.
And to answer the second question, Drexel is a good school and if you do well, yes.

Your whole life there will be those around you who will disapprove of your choice of career, spouse, car, hairstyle, religion, politics, even the food you eat and brand of beer. You may seek counsel from those close to you, but your choice is yours. Nothing at all wrong with Drexel, and I think you know that! Good luck.

Thank you for your encouraging words everyone! After I visit all the campuses in person, I will choose for me and not for others!
