Hello all,

I'm an international student majoring in biochemistry and I transferred 67 credits to a US university. We had A LOT of strikes and a very bad situation when I was in college (and that's why I left the country) and we studied only 30% of the whole program so during the exams I ended up with a very bad GPA. When I came to the U.S I studied hard and I'm getting only A (major requirement courses) or A- ( some liberal arts courses). I'm going to end up with a 3.45 GPA for 67 (2.885 GPA) transferred credits and 90 institutional ones (3.886 GPA).
I have more than a 1000 hours volunteering only in the US, others are in my home country but they can't verify or call anybody to check (Some adviced not to show how many hours I did in my application) and 95th percentile in GRE General and Biology and 4 excellent letters of recommendation and research experience.

Can they just forget the transferred GPA? Do you have any advice on how to have bigger chance to attend schools like MIT or Standford?

Thank you in advance :)
