Pretty Good GPA and Test scores, mind chancing me?

Could you please chance my resume to the colleges listed way below?

SAT Scores:
Reading-670
Writing-780
Math-780

ACT Composite: 30

GPA: 3.67 unweighted, 4.367 weighted

Our school doesn't have class rank anymore, but I'll have taken almost every honors/AP course available to our class once senior year is complete.

Never gotten anything lower than a 3 on any AP Tests taken (Euro, US History, English, and Physics).

A little low on the community service (around 30-40 hrs).

Placed third overall for my school on the AMC-12 (American Math Competition-12) with a score of 76 (not enough to move on to the next round).

4 years of Varsity track.

National Honors Society member.

Multiple Club leadership positions.

Tutored kids aged from middle school on up to seniors in high school in English, Math, Science(s), and History for the last 4 years.

Recently gained a job as a Safeway Courtesy Clerk which I plan on keeping for the entirety of the school year.

I'm an incoming senior in Phoenix, Arizona.

Interested in a physics/astronomy major.

The schools I'm looking at are (and yes I know they're all way across the map):

MIT
Princeton
Stanford
Cornell
University of Rochester
Possibly USC
Rice University
UC Berkeley
University of Arizona (backup)

Do I have any chance at all of getting in to the top four colleges? Additionally, I'd be very appreciative if you could tell me ways in which I could improve my resume within the next year or so.

Thanks in advance!

Oh and I will be taking the SAT Math II, Physics, and Literature Subject Tests in October.

Unless you go to a really great school your GPA puts the top 3 nigh impossible, and cornell is a reach for you. I suggest you add some other schools to your list, maybe just slightly lower tier. My only tip at this point though is to work your butt off for senior first semester to get that GPA up.

I’d say that the top three are high reaches; but the others are all manageable to get into.

Chance me back?

Ah jeez dang okay well time to get all A’s again hopefully.

Does the fact that I live in the Southwest give me any slight advantage?

With your stats, you better be getting ready for UArizona, or URochester, with a little bit of luck.

Haha UArizona isnt that hard to get into.

I’d call the top 4 unrealistic and the others accept for Rochester and Arizona reaches. So if you like and can afford Rochester and Arizona you’re fine. If you need aid I would add some less competitive schools that meet need or some that will give merit.

Nobody really cares about community service anymore so you dont have to worry about it. Colleges know that kids are just volunteering to beef up their apps. Unless your really passionate about it, community service won’t matter. To be real with you man, the top 3 are unrealistic. Don’t waste your time or money. First, your gpa is a lil low for the ivies and your EC’s are severly lacking(in terms of ivies). Unless you have a hook, its not going to happen. But you should look into Cornell cause you never know.
Top 3-high reach
Cornell-mid-reach(go for it, if you really want to go, then go ED cause you have a good shot at getting in)
URochester-match
USC-match
Rice-low-reach
UC Berkeley-OOS?? if so mid-reach
Arizona-safety
Overall, ur college list is nice. You should eliminate the top 3 and put some more realistic (but still great) schools. (i.e. northwestern, emory, vanderbilt, unc )
Good Luck :)

Srry your EC’s aren’t severly lacking for the ivies, just not great. I didn’t see the part about multiple leadership positions. My bad. Another way to boost your chances is take SAT II’s and do well on them. By the way, berkeley requires them. And you were on varsity in track for 4 years? Nice.
