Son is assigned a triple room in Prince Fredrick…i thought there were only single and doubles in PF?
My best guess is that he may have a triple in what was supposed to be a double. At least Prince Frederick is air conditioned and one of the newest dorms on campus. I was told by several different UMD staff that the student acceptance rate was higher than expected so the class is larger than expected leading to more triples.
In PF, there are usually only singles, doubles, and semi-suites, but the housing crisis has caused some doubles to become triples. Luckily, the rooms in PF are already insanely big, so making a double a triple won’t be bad at all. I’ve had people stay over in a PF double (we moved mattresses into the room) and It wasn’t a nuisance at all, so I doubt 3 people in one won’t be that bad, aside from syncing up wake-up times. (There won’t be anyone with PF triple experiences, since it’s never been done before.)

@whenyoubelieve …Hi,do you know if there are mirrors in the back of the door in PF hall?Thank you!
@priya2015 The room comes with no mirrors at all. I highly recommend bringing/buying a full length mirror for the room. My roommate and I coordinated who would bring one last year!
@whenyoubelieve …Thank you! I am also reading that even though they have AC in PF,they might still need a fan?Is that true?
@priya2015 Not true at all. AC in PF is adjustable in each room to some degree. I don’t see why a fan would be needed haha. I’ve never felt the need for one in my time there
@whenyoubelieve …Thank you!
