Princeton Computer Science

I never really thought about applying to Princeton until now and had a couple questions.

How is Princeton’s CS program? I plan on majoring in CS in college. What makes Princeton unique from other schools? How is the social life there? Is the campus in a nice area?

If there’s anything else I’m missing please let me know.

Thanks!

Princeton’s CS is top-notch, with great profs/classes, fantastic job placement and internship possibilities, and interesting peers. Princeton’s financial aid is second-to-none and the university places a greater emphasis on (and gives greater resources to) its undergrads than any of its peer institutions, which is immediately apparent the moment you step on campus. Social life is also good, with tons of different clubs to get involved in and find/continue in your niche, and also organized group experiences where it is impossible to at least make good acquaintances if not good friends. The campus is beautiful, and in a beautiful city and area of New Jersey. I know this sounds too glowing to be true, but it really is so much fun (though, admittedly, hard). I would definitely apply - just be prepared to work.

Thank you for your response! I appreciate it. @Aelon51

One other reason to attend Princeton for computer science is the opportunity to take a wide variety of classes taught by terrific professors outside the computer science world. The world is full of non-engineers, and interacting with students who’s academic interests are different than your own can be invaluable.
