Preview was okay, but the social scene at Princeton is nothing compared to Vanderbilt, especially for black students. Apparently there was a pact in some of the upperclassmen black men to not date black women, and black students seem to be somewhat excluded from some of the higher tier eating clubs. Vanderbilt has great black parties, strong black frats/sororities, and several HBCUs that regularly party on campus.
What scholarship did you get from Vandy and what were your ECs, leadership and community service that helped you get it. Thx.
Great job! Vandy is a great school. This is a win.

Michelle Obama did fine at Princeton. Hopefully your decision would not be based too much on the “social scene” of a college.
Actually Michelle had some challenges there, Google it.
Princeton
Lmao @WesternDigital is clearly white
Based off your minority experience critique, it looks like your heart is in Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is a phenomenal school and the fact that you received a merit scholarship is incredible. All the schools are prestigious; don’t let a slight edge in prestige make your decision, especially if you feel like said campus is problematic for black students.
Did not realize that Princeton aid did not use loans @midatlmom. Thanks for clarifying.
