Can current students tell me how accurate that website's student summary is of the college's student body, academics and campus life? I'm taking all student/website accounts with a grain of salt, of course, but I'm wondering how students would corroborate or negate the descriptions on that particular website.

i'm not a student, but, Princeton Review does have to make a profit...i.e. sensationalism...

That's a good question. I found the summary of academics and campus life pretty accurate in terms of the general student opinion-- it's not how I would evaluate the school, but it's how I could imagine other students describing the school.

I did find the section on the student body to be in hyperbole, though. There is no typical Chicago student-- the only prerequisite is that he or she has a love and respect for academics, not necessarily that he or she is all academics, all the time. You'd be amazed how quickly a vapid conversation about house gossip can transcend to one about Marx and then go back again to talking about which of your friends have hooked up with each other-- most of us operate on nerd and non-nerd levels.

the part about lack of IM sports is completely ridiculous. My house is signed up for at least one event every single day. So, if that's something you want to do, you'll have PLENTY of it here.
