Princeton Supplements Favorites Section?

<p>Im a little nervous with this section. If I put something like Mozart for my favorite song (even though i love classical music) i sound like a nerd trying too hard and being pretentious. If I put Poker Face.... well I think it is obvious... </p>

<p>Favorite book- Between Great Expectations and Pride and Prejudice- is this okay?
Favorite movie- Well i love Chaplin so I kind of want to put Modern Times but that sounds Pretentious also. </p>

<p>Any advice?</p>

<p>And favorite website!?!? Facebook! but im not telling them that!</p>

<p>Pick whatever is true and gives insight into your personality. Facebook may be true, but does it say much about you? Not really. Pick something with more character. I’m putting a classical recording for mine. And my favorite movie is a silent film. And yes, those books are great. I would worry less about not seeming pretentious and more about providing a glimpse into who you are. If all these little things seem to fit together to form a cohesive picture, they won’t think you’re lying.</p>

<p>The majority of kids put Facebook as their favorite website. Adcoms are used to this and won’t downgrade you.</p>

<p>Has anyone ever put princeton.edu as their favorite website? I’m sure Princeton gets quite a few of those every year.</p>
