Princeton v Yale

Congrats guys! I'm having some trouble deciding....
I want to go to law school someday and to major in political science/english/philosophy or something of the like for undergrad. Should I choose Princeton or Yale? I'd love to go to Yale law school, so would going there undergrad hurt my chances?

Nothing you mentioned is going to help you decide between Princeton and Yale. They are both completely excellent for all of that, including for getting into Yale Law School (or any other law school). Traditionally, Princeton has been one of the great places to study history and sociology of law, by the way.

Decide based on a) location b) any specific major, if it’s an odd one, that one place or the other does better. But really, decide on location. Which appeals to you? Visit, see which place seems like more fun. There’s no bad outcome here.

Oh, and I loved Princeton, and so do my kids.

Princeton and Yale are equally excellent for law school, when in each class Yale has 30% for law and Princeton 20% (data source at http://www.lsac.org/LSACResources/Data/PDFs/top-240-feeder-schools.pdf</a>).
