Printing?

Is there free printing at Upenn?
sorry, I was just wondering.
Also, how's the social scene? I mean like the parties? Is it easy to get invited slash meet people?

There's free printing of 25 pages per day in Weis Tech house (an engneering building near Hill). Also if your in a special program Huntsman, M&T etc. you get free printing in your program buildings.

If your just a normal student you have to bring your own printer, pay at the library's or use Weis Tech.

The Penn party scene is fantastic. Especially as a freshman if you're not used to partying hard. The first week, during NSO, there are 6-7 open frat parties everynight. Every weekend there will be open parties, so you'll always have a place, but once you start making friends and as you get older you will go to more closed events.

do you have to party to be socially accepted at Penn?

Penn is pretty big, 10,000 undergrads. There are many different crowds, many different groups of people. you don't have to party to be accepted. Everyone finds their own group that they enjoy the most.

I know kids in what are considered "good" frats who don't drink, it's not like anyone is going to make you.

It depends on who you want to be socially accepted by. There is a solid minority here who either doesn't drink or drinks lightly and rarely (I'm equating partying with drinking), and you shouldn't have any trouble finding friends like that. But in most of the "good" frats, the only people I can think of who don't drink have religious or (temporary) medical reasons. And they still party.
