I can't find where to designate priority review anywhere on the common app. There was no check box for me on the common app when I chose Regular Decision like I've heard there was in previous years. I've looked on the MyRoc website and can't find anything there either. Please help!

IIRC, the priority review option has been discontinued. '

Here’s the post confirming this–

Thought priority application was kind of a joke to begin with. S was very interested in UR, older sister is an alum, got several invites to apply by priority app—and they waitlisted him!! He was a very good match, got into RPI and WPI, but not UR. Priority app made it seem like UR wanted him, but it was nothing but a marketing ploy.

A more charitable reading would be they killed it because they found they were turning down too many kids who used it. All these things are designed to get kids to apply, but each has ramifications. For example, too many early decision candidates reduced attractiveness for regular applicants and that ended up creating an early decision race.

I don’t think PR/EA is of much value to applicants anyway, since the notifications for many school come so late.

I think the only possible benefit to the applicant is if applying early helps you meet a deadline for scholarship consideration.
