Hi Everyone! So I got accepted to Baylor a few months ago and I’m most likely going to go. I grew up in Texas going to all private christian schools so I’m used to the restrictions and beliefs that come with it. I just had a question about Baylor: Are they really restrictive? I really don’t want to go to a school where they treat me like a child and try to hold my hand through college. I’m not referring to their rules on drinking, drugs, and sex but more like curfews, dress codes, etc. I just want to go to college and not feel like a high schooler. Thanks in advance!
They are not really restrictive. The only place that felt restrictive was the dorm rules, but frankly I liked them. I was shocked at all the nonsense going on when I visited my friends at UT. I’m pretty liberal so I wasn’t a fan of all the school’s beliefs, but I still enjoyed my time. My favorite part of Baylor was the relationships I was able to develop with professors - definitely not treated like a high schooler. Over the years, and from attending church with many, we’ve become real friends.
