You seem like a pretty well-rounded person overall, and you seem especially strong in sports-y things. You could use a little more fine arts, but since you're taking Musical Theater, I guess that's good :] (Please tell me you've been in productions.)

Honestly, there are SOOOO many great people applying to boarding school, and it really depends on how well your interview and essays/applications went.

And since you said your interview was "perfect", that's totally a 1-up:)

Idk about your applications/essays, but good luck nevertheless!!
We'll find out in 9 days! :OOOOOOO

I agree, you might need a little more in the fine arts area.

You've put up like 10 new threads for this in like 4 days

ok man, chill. it's going to be okay. it's not going to be the end of the world if you don't get in, just wish for the best, alright? good luck!

With Lawrenceville, at least, I know they only give you admission "points" if the coach at the school signs off that you are the real deal and they know your an athlete in your sport. Therefore, if you want the sports you play to help you, you probably need to have either met or at least contacted the coaches or have your coach send in a letter of recommendation.

Your stats look really good though. Good luck! We only have 8 more days!

Ya without getting in contact with the coaches...getting a video in..and having the coach notify you that he/she wrote a letter of recommendation.

Do be brutally honest, unless you recs were AMAZING and your interview was in the top 20%, it'll be hard to get into A/E. Mostly because again, u need more arts, and ur SSAT's are a bit. But I do kno a kid who goes to Exeter and got like 80% on his SSAT.

No worries. you'll prob get into atleast 2 or 3 schools.

WOW this is a prime example of why most of cc posts need to be read with a grain of salt – someone who joined today, commented with their vast experiences on someones chances – on a thread that is almost 6 months old. And then people who may not be very experienced will actually follow that persons directions.

To further highlight how useless the whole chancing is, this kid was not accepted at any of the schools he applied to, despite being told his interviews were perfect. No one knows how the admissions decisions will play out, just do your best and be prepared for any outcome.

^ oh my goodness, seriously? how… this applicant seemed really strong. i guess this proves that the whole prep admissions process tends to be a bit of a crapshoot sometimes. :(

this reminds me too much of harvard’s result thread. perfect SATs, perfect ACT, valedictorian, found a cure for cancer and aids, won 438 nobel prizes… rejected. hmm.
