Considering applying to King, St Lukes, GCDS, Masters and a Hackley next year. Would any be a bad fit for a non-sporty girl?
I think most of these schools will have an athletic requirement. Check to see which ones allow the athletic requirement to be fulfilled through a theater, music, or dance option. You also might want to look at Greens Farms, Hopkins, Hamden Hall, and Greenwich Academy.
Are you only looking to be a day student at those with boarding options or would you board? If you are willing to board, look at some other schools in Western CT like Choate, Taft, Kent, Westover, and Canterbury.
Good luck!
Given that the GCDS high school is relatively new, the “high intensity” sports mentality hasn’t kicked in yet.
There are seasonal sports requirements, but lots of different ways to satisfy that.
Have you looked at Sacred Heart Greenwich?
Do look into Sacred Heart and also school of the Holy Child in Rye, NY (just a few miles down the road from Greenwich). You can also check out Rye Country Day.
Green Farms Academy in Westport, Conn. might be of interest to you.
I thought it worth mentioning that Sacred Heart schools are not Catholic schools in the traditional sense. They are Independent Schools and typically students of all faiths attend. They take a humanities/world religion approach to the curriculum and focus on character, citizenship and leadership.
St. Luke’s is also not a Catholic school.
