When trying to complete the housing application for my son, an incoming first year student, we receive a message that the student is not in the database with a recommendation to try later. It's getting close to the deadline and we're still getting this message. The student has his computing ID information and is able to access other sites (e.g., SIS). We have paid the tuition deposit. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to proceed? The student is an Echols Scholar - could this be the reason he's not in the database and is unable to proceed with the application?

It was the same for me. After getting my UVA e-mail, I had to wait about two days before I could complete the housing application. I suggest you wait another day or two and see if it adds your son to the database; although, I’m not sure it updates on weekends (especially holiday weekends).

Just call the housing office during their business hours and relay your issues:

Rhebar and woosah,
Thanks for your timely replies, especially during a holiday weekend. I’ll use the contact information supplied by woosah to ask for assistance. I am a bit embarrassed I didn’t find the link on my own.
