<p>I typed my supplemental essay in Word and tried copying it & pasting it on the common app site, but it's not pasting at all. I even tried just copying one sentence, but nothing's working...has anyone else had this problem? It's really frustrating...</p>
<p>Hmm. I typed a random sentence in Word and pasted it into the box successfully.</p>
<p>Try copy/pasting from word into notepad. If that works, then try copy/pasting from notepad to the form on the site.</p>
<p>I just tried doing that, but it still didn’t work…it lets me past the sentences into all parts of the application, but not the profile questions and short answer essays =/

<p>Ahhhhh… mac. Perhaps you can try switching browsers? If you’re on safari try pasting into the same application on firefox, or vice versa. I have no problems doing it in firefox on windows.</p>

<p>So I tried pasting things into the essay sections on my dad’s window computer at his work, and it worked fine (it’s actually a mac, but windows is also installed on it)…but when i switched to mac-mode on that same computer, it didn’t work…</p>
<p>any suggestions to getting the pasting to work on a mac? it’s much more convenient for me to use my home computer instead of having to get to a windows computer each time i want to paste something…
i use the Safari program that came with my mac for Internet if that helps at all…</p>
<p>There’s a version of firefox for the mac, try it out.</p>

<p>fyi, my daughter has a mac & had the same problems last year. Simple fix was to do this copy-pasting on a PC.</p>
