Process? Applying to USNA as Prior

Hello all,

I'm looking for some information on this process because I have had some bad luck getting any information out of my OSO or around the web.

My story:

4 year Marine Reservist with 1 deployment and 2 years of college under my belt. I'm not satisfied with my college career, and want to renew my dream for going to the academy.

I understand that that there are nominations from the secretary of the navy for enlisted marines and reservists, and that I need the reccomendation of two commissioned officers, but beyond that I'm in the unknown. I'm 21 and understand that I have until I'm 24 to get in, however the wording on the USNA website is a little tricky. Here's why:

"at least 17 years of age and must not have passed your 23rd birthday on July 1st of the year of admission;"

My birthday is July 1st. I'll be turning 22 this summer. Now I want to deploy to Afghanistan next year, but don't want this to hinder my application process. I know just about everything in the application process is wavierable (found that out my first recruiting experience) but want to make it as streamlined as possible.

Does this mean that I have 2 years left before I can bother to apply? I wan't to maximize prep time.

Any information from prior enlisted midshipmen would be appreciated.

If it's worth mentioning I got my senator's nomination in my senior year of highschool when I previously applied so I have high hopes for an appointment.
