When my D took organic chemistry II last year, half of her major had one teacher and half had the other. One teacher gave credit for homework, extra credit opportunities, and had six tests of which one was dropped and had study sessions for all tests. The other teacher gave no extra credit, no credit for homework and only had three tests, none dropped, and didn’t give study sessions. I would say one teacher was harder than the other. But they all dealt except one student who had a history of questionable ethics, got caught cheating and was tossed out of the class. Otherwise, the 7 people were taking the same class at the same time and they were completely different grading schemes. But, again, it all did work out fine and no parents needed to be involved.
