Professor not answering emails

I broke my foot last week and was on some heavy pain meds so I emailed my prof asking to postpone my presentation to one of the next two presentation days. She never responded so I emailed again saying my mom was driving across the state to come to my surgeons appt with me and I couldn’t do the following day, but I can do the last day, but I asked her if this would be an issue as I can tell my mom to not come and I could reschedule my appt. She proceeded to not email me back, and my mom is coming today and I don’t know what to do. I have now emailed her three times in the last three days, with no answer. Any suggestions?

It is unlikely that a professor would check work emails over the weekend. Did you try calling her or the department office last week? If not do so tomorrow.

Also are you emailing from your school email?
If not, do that.

Also immediately contact the Dean of Students and ask for assistance in notifying your professors.
THey can refer you to the disability office where you can get temporary accomodations.
It is best to work through the college systems

If you don’t get an answer via one method of communication, you don’t keep using it. You try another. You’ve emailed three times, no response. Call the professor, and leave a voicemail. If you don’t hear back from her within minutes, also call the department secretary and ask her to leave a message in your professor’s box. Then contact the Dean of Students, as bopper said.
