Greetings CCer’s!

I was just curious if any Amherst students were familiar with Professor Sweeney of the History department?

Thanks.

Looooooove him. My favorite professor at Amherst; I seriously adore him. PM if you want to know more.

Hey Katbenc.
Thanks for the response.
I ask because I emailed him a few days ago asking if he’d mind if I interview him (it’s for a project). I figured, why not reach out to professors in my favorite college?!

He hasn’t replied…so, I was wondering if anyone knew him.

Any suggestions on what to do? I would call him, but his number isn’t on Amherst’s site.

Professor Sweeney has not really enthusiastically embraced computers, so I’m not surprised he hasn’t responded. His phone number is listed on his page in the faculty directory; just go to the Amherst website and search his name and it should come up.

Thanks Katbenc. I got your PM!

Could be worse - you could be trying to email Gordie Levin. Great prof, but still uses a typewriter.

Seriously, Levin is still teaching? Sheesh, he was tenured when I was there 28 years ago… Nice to hear he’s moved on from the quill pen and parchment.

^^^^

LOL, I think the old professors give the campus a bit of flair. :)
