You can go here:

[RateMyProfessors - Northeastern University](http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/SelectTeacher.jsp?sid=696)

and look up reviews for various teachers.

Very useful in picking out classes.

ratemyprofessor is amazing to check out professors, and I use it when I select my classes to try to get good ones haha

went to the website but only 1 of the professors was listed, maybe it’s not updated that often? it’s a great website though

The website rating is ridiculous, basically tells you which professors give you good grades without hard work.

The site is best if you just read the reviews, don’t really look at the ratings. And yeah, sometimes people use it to try to pick easy classes, but sometimes it can save you from choosing a prof. who doesn’t speak english very well or something like that.
I know personally, I will pick a tough professor who is a great teacher and very outgoing rather than an easy professor where the class will be boring and dull for the most part.

I allways check ratemyprof. It’s not that it isn’t updated often, just that sometimes no one has written a review about a professor so they won’t be listed.

I only know potts-santone. Gen bio is sort of a weed out and she’s not the most… friendly, but her lectures are well organized and there’s no reason to not get a good grade. Also, most freshman have no choice but to take her class, so it’s not like there’s a better alternative (well, Aaron Roth, but he teaches gen bio I in the spring, so you’re out of luck).

I like the trace reports better than Ratemyprofessors, personally. Not many people put effort into it, but usually you can tell a professors weak spots. For example people will usually say if they just teach out of the book or if he always mumbles or if he yells at students, etc. I’ve switched profs before because of trace reports.
