So, there's this really unique program at Mary Baldwin College (Virginia). It's call PEG (Program for the Exceptionally Gifted), the whole point of the college is to skip some or most of high school and go straight to college. I've been excepted, but my parents have decided to not let me go because I live in Utah and they don't want me living across the country for four years. Does anybody know of any programs like this in the Rocky Mountain Area?

You should check all of the colleges and universities near you to find out if they will admit you early. Many will. It is just that most of them won’t have the special programs and housing just for younger students. A friend of our family who enrolled in college at age 15 was able to get his parents support for this by moving into a small apartment in a building owned by his grandparents and where they also lived about half of each week (they spent the rest of the time at another home about an hour away). If you have family nearby, your parents might be happier about this transition in your life.

You also could talk with your parents about how they would feel about you going across the country when you are a bit older. They might feel better about it in a couple of years.

As always, HappyMom is right! My son went to the local community college, while living at home, when he was younger than traditional college age. I had to try three schools before finding a school to accept him. One said (TOTALLY incorrectly) that it was illegal for a kid under 16 to go to college.
