IMO it’s a pure lie you have to pay a lot of money to go to SAT prep course to get high score. If you are truly motivated, you can study on your own and ace SAT. Not saying having money doesn’t help but a motivated kid helps the most. Today, with internet and free public library system, you can teach yourself anything.
This is correct, but mainly because there is no consensus definition of intelligence and thus no reliable way to test for it.
We have talked about the Old SAT and the effects of the re-centering and how things have changed from a preparation standpoint, but has the ACT basically stayed the same? I have noticed the amount of sky high scores seems to have gone up recently and I have assumed it was just the preparation trend prevalent in today’s testing environment.
