Where will they be posting them tomorrow? Anybody know?

There is already an app on the apple and android stores. Look for SAT score converter

I am sure it will be on the College Board website.

Not there yet. But its in the Apple store and android playstore

Interesting. Just downloaded the app and plugged in old SAT numbers. My d’s 2060 converted to a 1440 for the new Sat. I’m wondering if on May 10 there is going to be a lot of kids thinking their scores are higher than they actually are? The learning curve is going to be interesting.

May I know what app is this? @loulou13

@loulou13 Is 2060 really 1440?

That’s weird. I thought 1400 would be around 2100. Can you plug in 1500 for the new SAT and tell me the corresponding old SAT score?

The app is in both the Apple store and android store on your smartphone. Look for SAT converter.

Interesting- I can pull up the app on my phone but not my iPad.

I have windows phone so can somebody tell me the corresponding old SAT score for 1500 on the new SAT?

Here’s a shocking idea:

Why not simply get rid of these arbitrary scales and simply report percentiles? Or will transparency damage the self-esteem of students?

@flyinganon you need to enter all the section scores.

@FlyingAnon 730s on every section in the old SAT (2190) = 1510 (750RW/760M) on new SAT according the converter if that helps.

@GMTplus7 How is scaled score system not transparent?

And do you hate students?

I can see many things wrong with just reporting percentiles. How do you differentiate between all students who are on the 99th percentile?

Does anyone know if the scores are actually going to be posted tomorrow?

Any scaling scheme that:

  • has arbitrary numbers at the endpoints (i.e. 400-1600)
  • grants 400 points for just showing up and having a pulse
  • requires you to look up your score on a table to figure out percentile ranking

is not transparent.

With decimal places, of course.

I just downloaded this app and put in my S’s old SAT score. It showed the exact same score that he made on his PSAT. That is crazy!! Yes, does anyone know if the scores are still going to be posted tomorrow?

I am causally optimistic that the scores will be available tomorrow because the CB actually did manage to get the PSAT10 scores out on the date they promised.

For those of you who either don’t have the latest iOS installed or want to see what colleges will be looking for for concordance, there are PDFs and spreadsheets at https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/educators/higher-ed/scoring-changes/concordance
