Pros and Cons of each type of dorm situation (double, triple, etc.)

I am wondering if anyone has insight into what are pros and cons (social, academic, logistical) of living for the first year in a double, a triple, and a quad (or whichever you might know more about, if any). Thank you!

I don't think you have much choice unless you make a specific request to be roomed with specific individuals.

Calmom is correct. You will be assigned a living situation your first year based upon the survey you will be sent the summer before. You will live in the "quad" area on Barnard's campus.

During subsequent years, though, you will go into the housing lottery system. Before you actually choose your housing, you will have a chance to tour the different buildings and arrangements.

Oh, okay, thanks for the info! Does anyone know anything about the specifics of wellness dorms?

living in a triple sucks, no privacy
