Pros and Cons of going to a private coed school?

Well i'm going to a public high school and i'm thinking of after I finish freshman year, apply to a private coed school because they offer chinese classes which really sucks me in + the school looks nice, but it costs ALOT of cash, like enough to buy a new car. Idk if I want to go or not yet, can you guys help me decide between Moravian academy Vs. NAHS.

MA: Browser Not Supported
NAHS: Welcome to Nazareth Area High School

oh and my family is poor, idk if I could afford it.

Have you considered taking Chinese at the local community college?

The local community college is really bad, the teachers there only teaches it to you in chinese and creates a burden for me since I speak little mandarin and english is my primary language, The school is nice, smaller and better overall and I want to go but the only thing im concerned about is the tuition.

Most private schools are able to offer extensive financial aid. Apply for financial aid, and do your best in both interviews. Your life may be made easy for you if only one school excepts you

That’s standard for language classes, whether in prep schools or in college. I don’t know if that’s specifically true about the prep school you’re considering, but generally, one learns a language much better when classes are conducted entirely in the language.

I’m not familiar enough with these schools to feel comfortable commenting on Moravian vs Nazareth.

I’m not sure why you think LCCC is bad. I think it’s rather average to above average for a CC. They do offer 4 semesters of Chinese, which is 2 more than my much larger county’s CC offers.

I know they don’t offer Chinese, but have you looked at Lehigh Valley Academy. They offer the full IB curriculum and it’s a charter school, so if you can a spot, it’s free.
