Walls are pretty much paper thin. Do not expect perfect silence unless immediate suite mates are conscious of their noise.

5-person bathroom isn’t much of a problem. I prefer to transport my amenities like shampoo or toothbrush as I use them; I don’t leave my stuff in the bathroom since it is open to the public (it is typical to leave all suite doors open)

It’s the same stuff as a triple or double. A bed, desk, closet, and drawer thing.

you have your own AC and window.

One more thing that ties up a couple points already mentioned: even though the single doors and walls are thin, the 2 suite doors that separate your room from the main hallway are very thick. Shutting at least one of these doors guarantees you silence from the outside (hallway screaming, banter, etc). At least that way you are restricted to the noise from the suite/your-side-of-the-suite.

The bathroom is its own separate room so you would need to leave your room if you ever needed to use it. That being said, its very unlikely that there would be dense “traffic” in the bathroom because people would rather be in their rooms. I dont know if that makes any sense; but to answer your question I doubt having another person around will affect anything.

If someones using the toilet or shower when you need to, you can sometimes just go to the bathroom on the other side of the suite. This is based on a conventionally assumed agreement that all suite mates are free to use both bathrooms.

Agreed with everything sid3000 has said. In the case of bathroom “traffic” - it helps to know when people typically shower (not specifically but like during roommate contracts, everyone can just go around and say when they typically shower). That way you can judge for yourself when would be the best time for you etc. It’s usu lucky when you have people who like to shower at random times throughout the day so you’re not ever waiting around :)

Also as sid mentioned - it’s generally accepted that the 10 people in the suite are free to use the opposite side’s bathroom if theirs is occupied.
