Pros/Cons of Villanova?

Does it matter if u are asian, will kids discriminate or anything, or is everyone usually chill.

do people really party as much as they say they do? or is it not a big deal if you don’t go to parties?

They let me transfer into VSB. It was relatively painless. I was reevaluated though.

can anyone tell me more about the engineering program at nova? Im starting there in the fall and want to know more about good/bad professors and how the intro to engineering class is and everything.

It is actually relatively easy to transfer into any of Villanova’s 4 colleges once you are accepted to the university in general. To the person who asked if kids will care if you’re asian - while the campus is overwhelmingly caucasian - there are plenty of people of other races too … just be yourself and I’m sure no one will judge you. Yes, people really party as much as they say they do … my first semester at nova was pretty slow party-wise, but second semester I joined a sorority and I can honestly say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. If you are even slightly curious about rush … I say go for it. It definitely boosts your social life by 100000%

It not “nearly impossible” to transfer into VSB. If you transfer in as a freshman it is not all that hard. They will reevaluate though. I know tons of people that did it. If you transfer in after freshman year it is slightly harder. You can actually take business courses and they will judge you based on your grades in those classes. Definitely nowhere near impossible though. What makes you think that?

is it hard to join a frat, and is there always sometype of hazing involed

The info with pros and cons is the best. Nothing is perfect but after spending all day at a California college fair, the only place my daughter was excited about V. The school spirit etc. But what about Philly?

<but what=“” about=“” philly?=“”>
To above poster: not sure what you are asking exactly, but you may already know that VU has a train station on campus, with a quick ride into the city. Philly is rich in history, world class museums, colleges, restaurants, etc. My d (risinig senior there) loves the campus location- it’s a beautiful area, and with the city so close it’s the best of both worlds for her; I think the majority of students there feel that way.</but>
